Guarapera

On Tuesday we had a complementary output 27 to a farm located in Trapiche, owned by Antonio Benítez Guarapera farmer in the place known as Hoya del Cano, who received us and showed us some of the history of our town, as the cultivation of sugarcane and sugar production in what were some kind of cooperative, this cane was processed in a mill called TAPICHE, hence the name of the neighborhood.

Naturally there is music for the occasion. In 1959, the architect Juan Guardiola Gaya, drawn the Partial Plan First Circle of the Playa de San Juan, with the main axes Avenue de la Costa Blanca and the Nations, both parallel the sea and springs in the A-190. Apart from marking the partial plan at the former "Grand Avenue", four other buildings were built following the same pattern of plant-scale project.

Vermilion Tower, Fernando Cervero Barbolla. 1969. 6 apartments per floor. Within the Private Las Sirenas. Vermilion Tower was built in the Costa Blanca ave as above, but outside the partial plan.

Torre San Jordi, Juan Guardiola Gaya, 1966. 8 units per floor. At ave de Oviedo, as the culmination of the ave of San Sebastian.

The Rotunda, 1967 Juan Guardiola Gaya. 4 apartments per floor. At the corner of the streets of Naples and Catalonia. Although matched in size by floor with the others, its design is totally different.

The passage of 40 years or more of these buildings and the specific characteristics of each, has determined its current state. Is common to all who have poor aesthetics. The possession of the terraces as large and the small size of most homes, has made inevitable the chaotic glazed much of them to win because sometimes surface can reach nearly double the usable space available.
