First Auditions Trial

A KING KONG IN THE STATION AVDA

confess I've always had a weakness for this street Alicante and do not know why but I always liked it better that Alfonso the Wise, and that after all avenues are similar, both have the same width, both have palm trees, and even Alfonso the Wise, has better quality buildings, but I like the other, perhaps because it is quieter here and we have the Provincial Council, which by their very presence adorns every street. There are many other buildings of the 30 and 50 that I like enough. Well
. at present, are about to rehabilitate the facade several of these buildings (at least four of them) and among those is the number 22, a building dating from 1980 and I do not have previous image, but I remember style "postmodern" (I take license to define it), with a false facade and totally covered with tiles that apparently in the restoration, have already disappeared.
Anyway, the point is that as usual in some cases, the scaffolding necessary for the works is a canvas covered with advertising, as seen in the photo (although I swear I was almost finished the intervention I suppose the advertising presence will extend what is under contract with the advertising agency).

Naturally there is music for the occasion. The truth is that looking for "cute" (you know, King Kong was an ape, monkey, or nearly so), but the versions I know I do not like anything, one is for the late Jorge Sepulveda, famous singer of the year 40 who did not find any merit and the other Nati Mistral, the singer of fake smile which is not my cup of tea. So I found an oddity called "You're really cute" a twist sung by Tony Ronald! (You know the Dutch had much success in the late 60's with his "Help, help me" , so you must leave there for your pleasure (or not).

TORRES-TARGET OF THE SAN JUAN BEACH HE IDO AL

In 1959, the architect Juan Guardiola Gaya, drawn the Partial Plan First Circle of the Playa de San Juan, with the main axes Avenue de la Costa Blanca and the Nations, both parallel the sea and springs in the A-190. In the central part presents a series of rectangular blocks of 180 x 260 m, with driveways planned for all parcels in the center of each of its facades and the closest to the sea, a series of fornices, provided to the now pedestrian Nice ave. The distribution of buildings arranged along axes NS or EO and stepwise progression heights so that the lowest were in the forefront, but a series of buildings of 12 floors (the highest of all), over the then "Grand Avenue" that would act as a reference. A number of commercial zoning, camping and even a marina, completed the area. The plan as a road, remained substantially, but on other issues, is completely distorted (thank goodness that the port did not take place), giving total freedom in terms of layout, height and orientation of buildings and a scaling quite high (4m3/m2) until 1975 which was reduced to 2.5 m3/m2. What itself was maintained, but increased in the number of plants, were the buildings, landmark towers are square (18 x 18 m) of PB + +15 P Ent those bars there is a large overhang of 2.3 / 2 , 5 m that surrounds the whole plant and located on specific sites, but the 10 planned, it came to building 8, which are:

Paris Torre, Juan kept him Gaya, 1968 (5 apartments per floor). The floor of the cantilever, is exposed in several areas.

Hercules Tower, Juan Guardiola Gaya, 1970. (8 flats per floor).

Chestnut Tower, 1968. 4 apartments per floor. Interestingly, the only building which has a plant less.

La Torre, 1966, 5 flats per floor.

Torre Bethlehem, 1964 the oldest. 4 apartments per floor. He was the first one from neighbors glazed terrace. The City litigated years and eventually got tired.

Torre Velázquez, 1975. 6 apartments per floor.

Torre Texas, 1974. 5 apartments per floor. Within the block occupied by the "border line" (along with California, Arizona and New Mexico).

Aisa Torre, 1968. Juan Antonio G ª Solera. 5 apartments per floor. Like the Hercules Tower has overhangs drafts.

Images of the model of the Partial Plan. In the second photo shows the now Plaza de La Coruña and the birth of the ave of Oviedo. The two towers planned match Torre La Torre and Aisa.
Apart from marking the partial plan at the former "Grand Avenue", four other buildings were built following the same pattern of plant-scale project.

Vermilion Tower, Fernando Cervero Barbolla. 1969. 6 apartments per floor. Within the Private Las Sirenas. Vermilion Tower was built in the Costa Blanca ave as above, but outside the partial plan.

Torre San Jordi, Juan Guardiola Gaya, 1966. 8 units per floor. At ave de Oviedo, as the culmination of the ave of San Sebastian.

Torre San Fernando, 1968. Fernando Cervero Barbolla. 6 homes per plant. Plant clone in the Vermilion Tower, but located several miles, at the beginning of the Avenida de la Costa Blanca, in the Albufereta. Photo courtesy of Marco Bielsa.

The Rotunda, 1967 Juan Guardiola Gaya. 4 apartments per floor. At the corner of the streets of Naples and Catalonia. Although matched in size by floor with the others, its design is totally different.
The passage of 40 years or more of these buildings and the specific characteristics of each, has determined its current state. Is common to all who have poor aesthetics. The possession of the terraces as large and the small size of most homes, has made inevitable the chaotic glazed much of them to win because sometimes surface can reach nearly double the usable space available. Moreover, the metal structure and proximity to the sea, has led to restoration work in some cases has been almost a reconstruction with metal profiles change, renewal of floors or even in Sant Jordi, Texas or Torre Paris, the need to dismount the large overhangs by outer pillars. Let alone the elimination of the original facades, such as tile or stars deployed in the Rotunda, the cladding Velázquez, full reconstruction of the entire facade of Tower Bethlehem, renewing its entire lattice and the change of guard rails aluminum replaced by others in any of them.
And as you can not miss the music, as will one of those days and talking about Torres, then what better than the Catalan group Los 4 de la Torre and his "Operation Sun" , 1966 and that was not more or less than the introduction of ska in Spain.

How To Adjust Electric Socket After Tileing

do not know if the post title looks Japanese or Arabic, but hey in any case speak Campoamor Auditorium. Built on the Paseo of the same name and on land vacated by the demolition beyond the 80, the House of Charities of the Provincial property. Many avatars have had the ride and the construction of the auditorium, because since the 80's, there have been several projects for the area, from include Provincial Bibliopteca, a provincial museum, going even to bury the link between Xixona avdas of Alcoy and the Plaza of Spain and all with one of the largest markets in Spain, working Thursdays and Saturdays. The fact is that the penultimate chapter in the area, has been solved: we have an auditorium, despite the breach of such rules the contribution of 50% of the budget by the Generalitat (taking charge of the council to do all the work).
I have to say that I have never agreed to such a volume box built into one of the few open spaces was the center of the city, between the neighborhoods of Campoamor and Carolinas Low (dense and populous network of streets and houses almost no free space). Moreover, I fail to understand why it has missed an opportunity that since such work was done, he is not endowed them with a suitable setting to respresantaciones theaters and opera and I had even made the main hall with a capacity greater.
Anyway, the point is that the building is there, there has been poor, urban environment, perhaps see a bit soulless and the square in front, excessively dominated by the pavement. Now there are two issues to be resolved. On the one hand, the urbanization of the rest of the environment (as seems to be the car park to the north is provisional) and from Of course, the "pardon" from the CPCampoamor final, specifically the caretaker's cottage, which was miraculously saved.
The second part is the programming itself as a concert hall ADDA, essential to give content to the right and the building category, can perform the function for which it was designed in a dignified manner.

occasion of the inauguration of the ADDA, are planned numerous events and concientros free. Among them was place on 5 and 6 of this April, two open days, enlivened with performances from many actors and musicians, under the direction of Tricicle. And this visit under the images.

Various views inside the building.

presented us with a beautiful piece.

also visited the locker room. The "bad organization" of the visit, he had to agree with these components of the choir, which at the time they were showering.

Press Conference (with plant of journalists included), a diva of "bel canto" and its representative. When finished, we sang a few bars of Summertime, the opera Porgy and Bess.

Tennis match in the secondary room.

And if almost all of my items there is music in it that deals with an audience would not be less. And this time will be "Un bel di vedremo" from Giacomo Puccini's opera, Madama Butterfly, and why?, Since very simple: the day of publication of this article, ie today, 16th April, at 20 , 30, in our auditorium, will be performed this opera. And then the video of the famous diva Renata Tebaldi, singing one of the best-known opera excerpts, including the uninitiated in the subject (like me).
